Tesco Bags of Help
Thank you to everyone who helped us get the £2000 that Tesco
has offered in their Community Support scheme. Our plan is to
open the club everyday as a social meeting place and provide an
activity for the many people who are lonely or isolated.
Loneliness is a feeling of sadness or distress about being by yourself or feeling disconnected from the world around you. It may be felt more over a long period of time. It is also possible to feel lonely, even when surrounded by people.
Isolation is being separated from other people and your environment.
Sometimes this occurs through decisions we make ourselves, or
because of circumstance e.g. doing a job that requires travel or relocation.
We hope to find people in the area who might have these feelings and offer them purpose, a place to meet people and something to share and enjoy
If you have ideas about how we achieve our goal or are willing to help us on this mission please make contact with Tom Wilson. All suggestions ideas and offers of help will be most welcome.
Morning sessions begin on Monday 12th August
10:00 - 12:00 and best of all it is free.
See you there
